Cruise control cycles on its own
I have a 06 3500, auto tranny, 6.5 CTD which does the following:
If I accelerate to around 50-55 MPH with the cruise control off, press the tow mode button on the end of the gear selector, then let off the throttle the truck will intermittently accelerate then coast each for 2-3 second durations and on flat road will just about maintain 50 MPH on its own doing this intermittent cycle of accelerate then coast.
If I try the above without pressing the tow mode button it will shift gears and isn't as obvious.
I have tried changing the APPS pedal with no change.
Ideas?
