Default whats best to gain mpg/hp

I have a 2008 ram 2500 diesel. Im sittin on 35's and ive been doing some research on how to get better mpg as well as hp (i'd rather have better mpg then more hp). ive heard the that the smarty jr kit is the best choice tuner for the 6.7 and im uncertain what the best intake is? also looking at doing the exhaust straight pipe? help me out

You dont need an intake. Stock is great up to about 500hp.

Swap back to 17" wheels, put some skinny highway tread tires on, and ease up on the skinny pedal. That will get you the biggest gain without affecting your warranty or violating federal emissions laws.

Go with the smarty jr, an egr eliminator and a regeneration eliminator kit. Set up the smarty jr at stage 2. You will gain some hp, but almost 5 mpgs. plus you won't sound like a big rig coming down the road. All for about $800.
