The ad reads- "Hi I'm selling my cummins, its my daily driver. It's a black 1996 12valve 4x4 regular cab with shelves behind the seats, it has 201,000 miles, runs great, many new parts on the truck as well as in boxes. The overdrive light came on, the tires are in great shape there mud star 285-75-16s"







hes asking $2900 for this. does that seem like a fair price and whats with the OD light?

It doesn't sound like too bad of a price. However, the OD light would be the overdrive light for the transmission. From what I remember the light would come on if you manually lock out overdrive. My concern would be if the light might also come on if there's a problem with the trans.

I would check over on cummins forum. They have a LOT more people over there dealing with cummins trucks and can probably tell you how serious this might be.
