Default Serious issue nobody can fix?

As a reminder I have 2006 2500 4x4 CTD with auto. Has approx 100,000 miles. Bone stock exept for K&N air cleaner. Have had no major issues until the last 2 months. We also just got snow this week and its turning cold again.

Last month my trailer turn signal went. Long storey short I had the TIPM reflashed and problem fixed.

However, I now have major issues. The truck was running fine but the other day the check engine light came on while driving. I had the wife read the manuel, didn't sound too serious so I kept going. Truck seemed to be shifting funny (hard shifts, neutralizing etc) but sounded OK. After about a 10min drive I stopped for coffee. When I tried to restart the truck no luck. Turned over fine but no start. Lots of batt power. Disconnected/re-connected the batteries but still no start. Had it towed to the closest dodge dealer (BIG MISTAKE).

The call me and say it is the clutch fan causing the issues. Its drawing too much power which is disconnecting the ECM and powing down the truck. Ok since they are the experts. Replaced the clutch fan and with labor and tax I was out $1175. Fine.

I pick it up and go approx 1/4 mile when the check engine light comes on again and shifting issues start again. I turn around and go back to the dealership. Truck starts up fine now but light still on. They called me today and tell me the 3-4 solinoid as well as another internal sensor in the tranny. Parts/Labor $800. Not happy but fine.

I go and pick it up today. Put the key in and truck starts but the alarm goes off. I shut the truck off. Try restarting the truck and nothing. No turnover...nothing. Try my spare key and fires up with alarm again. Hit the panic button and alarm turns off. Turn truck off and no start again. This cycle repeats a few more times.

I start to lose my cool at the dealership and they ensure me they can fix it. I tell them they are chasing electrical issues and its most likely bad power or ground to the ECM and the first 2 problems probably didn't really exist and this is just the third side effect of the main issue. The ensure me they were real issues and they were fixed this is just a new issue! Truck still at the dealership!

I don't think any of these is the issue. I think it may be a simple gound/power issue. Truck gets rust sprayed every year and has 0 rust. When I had the TIPM out even the connections were oily LOL.

Have you ever herd of similar issues? I will try to get the codes tomorrow that they pulled and hopefully the very expensive fan itself. Any info would be a big help. Can't help but feel I'm getting taken. I know they will follow a flow chart but throwing parts at it is a very poor way of solvong problems IMO.

Help....Anyone???????

Default 06 Dodge problems

I think I would take the truck to a Cummins facility or an independant that specializes in Dodge Cummins.

Id recommend not takin it to dealers. Lol. They dont know how to fix issues. Just make issues or do routine checkups. And even that is pushin it. Sorry i cant help with your prob but id tell dealer to start showing me everything they do. Cuz if they really replaced those parts. Thats amazing too. Cuz i know alot of dealers that say its something say they replaced it chrg you and never chnged it. Good luck
