dodge encourages us to brake the law, check engine light related
It's a federal emission law that they're violating, so emission testing or not it's illegal.
Dealers may not care if you're violating the emissions laws, but the second you complain of a powertrain problem you're SOL if you're running a programmer. Apparently with Cummins, dealers are now required to document failures with photo evidence prior to warranty claims being paid.
Having said that, I'd yank it out in a second if I had another 6.7.
Yeah if I had the money for a diesel I would have one, but dang. Around here a 1998 cummins with 200k+ miles dealers and private sellers still want $10+ for a truck in decent shape. I should add that they have to report commercial vehicle that rip off emissions not private parties though. Yeah it is federal law but no one gives a d@%# here about emissions.......
HnS is coming off though,i dont like how it locks up the tranny.
Do you have the overdrive software enabled? If you do and you don't like the shift logic, I'm shocked. If not, the H&S doesn't alter the lockup, and you're going to be just as annoyed with the lockup AND you'll have a CEL.
