im looking to buy this nice bone stock automatic 1996 12 valve and replace it for my gaser. its clean on the inside and outside and has 180,000 miles. he will take 4000 for it. it just has a knocking in the engine. he said he hasnt drove it at all and garaged it since it started. i heard it could be a rod or a crank bearing? what all could possibly be wrong with it? and how much would it cost? is this worth advantage of? thanks!

 

If its a rod or crank then rebuild the whole thing as for cost depends if you go cheap or go with good quality parts and if you do the work your self, if not then $8K.
