Question Whats your MPG when towing?

Wondering what the average MPG is towing...

Hard to make an apples to apples comparison with different motors (5.9 or 6.7) different configurations (deletes, chips, tire size, 4x4 or not, etc) and differing trailer / haul weights, but what are you guys seeing in fuel economy when towing?

On the times I've towed my Massey 135 w/cutter it's been a distance that used about 3/4 of a tank of fuel then the rest was used as a daily driver. I've averaged 19.5 mpg on those tanks.
When I use it as a daily driver I get 14.5 mpg. (In town, 3 miles with 11 stop lights.)
On the h/way, running empty w/cruise set at 75 mph I get an average of 22 mpg.

(Edit: Always hand calculated with a Smarty Jr corrected speedo.)

Default towing mileage

My old 2001 2500 4x4 qcsb auto 3:54 got 15-17 empty running around local 10 pulling our 9k toy hauler on the interstate @ 60. My current 3500 auto dually 4x4 qclb 3:73 gets 12-14 empty but 11 pulling our 9k toy hauler @ 65. All hand calculated.

I have a 2005 Chevy 3500 QCLB 4x4 Duramax that was getting 10 mpg unloaded. I put in a fresh fuel filter, cleaned the mass airflow sensor and at best got 14 mpg unloaded on the highway driving with an egg under my right foot. Towing my 16k fifth wheel it dropped to 5 mpg. That is what prompted me to buy my 2006 Dodge 3500 QCLB 4x4 Cummins.

My Dodge ram is too new for me to know what mileage I will get. It had bad injectors when I got it, and hasn't been run long enough since to know.

Pulling a 22 ft 4-5K trailer during cold outside temps, winter fuel & snow tires & 25 miles of MSP traffic I got just over 13 mpg.
