93 d350, 5.9 12v,, has a crank senser front of egine, truck came w/o tach,,found plug under dash by park brake , 4 wire, long, flat pins,, iam sure this is for a ,.tach,. can anybody tell wich wires are what??? or even if this connection is for the tach?,. want to add a tach, wire are blk,orng,grey,and brown ,(i think),, anybody got a wire diag.on this ,?

If the connector you found looks like the one below, you have found the trailer brake connector.




Do not have a wiring diagram for a 1993, but do have for 1994. In 1994 the instrument cluster has 2 connectors, 1 white, 1 black. The black connector has a grey wire with light blue tracer that is the tach signal wire. Hope this helps...

 

nope not that one,, that one has allready been used for the light w/ the elect. trail. brake system.. i found the plug i need, thanks,, will wire when the tach gets here
