importing new 2012 Ram 2500 into canada.
I'm exploaring buying a US market truck and importing into Canada.
So far I learned factery warenty is non exsistant for a US market truck registerd in Canada and no factery warenty in the States.
Considering US market and Canadian market 2500 trucks roll out of mexico one after anothier I don't want to pay extra for the same truck.
I still need to facter in the export of truck out of the US and taxs into Canada ( day time runing lights is reflash on the coumputer)
Has any one made the cross boarder hop?
No warenty pretty much means no dodge dealers for maintance, I can live with that.

Spoke with a dodge dealer in Greatfalls Montana, due to franchise agreements, they can't sell to Canadian customers, so total screw over going on here, identical trucks up sold in Canada.
Dodge trucks are cheaper in the US. than in Canada, pretty much a candian built car or truck built in canada is sold cheaper in the US., as booth US and Canadian bucks flirt with par, its a option I was considering to save money.
Still can buy a used 2011 or 2012 Ram, but it can't be new.
just for kicks, build the same truck on dodges canadian web site and than build it on the US dodge web site.

Another thing I noticed, not sure if it's just the pics or what but the US pic shows chrome grille and bumper while Canada doesn't.
For everyone else US is on the left Canada is on the right.
Hum, i know Canadians come down to the dealerships here in ND all the time and buy cars, from what i hear they dont pay the taxes here but have to pay them back in Canada when they register it. Try calling some dealers here in ND and im sure they can tell you the whole process.
