Default Black Diesel.... Burning used motor oil?

I've been poking around the net this afternoon and came across black diesel fuel.. i.e. burning used motor oil, tranny oil, and/or hydraulic oil for fuel. Pretty similar to waste veggie oil, but a lot eaier in my opinion.

If I'm understanding this idea correctly, you are able to mix 50% used oil with your normal fuel; after a lot of filtering mind you. Assuming you coellect the used oil for free, this would cut your fuel bill in half.

I'm considering this because I have a free supply of used motor oil. I also have most of the materials to build a processor as well.

According to my research, you would gather the used oil, heat it, filter it down to 1 micron, run it thru a centrifuge, then mix it with an equal amount of good ole No.2 in a mix tank. After that point it can be dumped right into your tank.

I'm just wonderinf if anyone out in DF land has done this, is currently doing it, and or if they have had any issues.
