Default 6.7 hard starting?

My 6.7 sometimes cranks longer than others

Suspect lift pump.

Anyone have experience with that?

It cranks a LOT longer than my buddy's 2000 5.9L

How many miles on it? Any modifications? Do you keep up with your filter changes and draining the water out? It could be a lift pump, but they're not anywhere near as common as the older trucks. Get a fuel pressure gauge on it. Check your battery cables - both batteries and both ends of all cables. Make sure they're clean and tight. Test your batteries individually and disconnected from the cables.

Thanks for the reply,
I just hit 77,000 miles
It's stock for now, filters are fine less than 6 months old.
I've never drained the water tho I'll have to do that tonight.
I'll also check the batteries tonight.

Thanks!

So any water? Batteries tested ok? How many miles since the filters were put on?

Did you test your fuel pressure? Did you check for corrosion and tightness at all battery cable connections?

This forum is super low traffic for Cummins owners, but you can't really complain when you don't follow through with suggestions and questions.
