yes. stock position of the lift pump is on the drivers side of the engine block towards the rear...

I would replace it anyway with an aftermarket pump like a raptor...

12psi at idle doesn't mean 12psi at WOT... and 12psi isnt enough to open the return valve on the vp44 to keep fuel constantly flowing through it to lubricate and cool it.

Yup, I hear you. I didn't have any more issues on the drive to work (didn't have any on the drive home yesterday, or the test drive last night), but I drove it pretty easy today. I was not able to test WOT, but with the possible malfunctioning gauge, I didn't bother wasting any time with it (and it was getting late by that point). I'm going to make plans to replace the pump anyway, but I just hope it will at least last a "little while longer" so I can have some breathing room. I would like to be able to plan this out a little better and dedicate a weekend to doing the swap. I am not looking forward to having to drop the tank or remove the bed, so I may just deal with the "1/4 tank issue" for now. But at the same time, I don't want to drop many hundreds of dollars in to this. And I hate to say it, but the FASS DDRP is notably cheaper and a much easier install.

If I do anything first though, it ought to be a dedicated fuel pressure gauge. I'm all paranoid about this now.....
