Default Really starting to HATE my truck

To make a long story short, bought a new 2011.5 2500 ram with the new 6.7 HO. The first couple of months, i was really really impressed with the power this truck had, it was a freakin' beast and the fuel economy was not to bad, same as my old 2004 hemi, 15-18 miles per gallon. Now, a year later the truck runs really poorly. Last month I mentioned in a earlyer post while in heavy acceleration (WOT) the rpm's won't go above 2700 before shifting. This week, it's eaven worse, the engine struggles when it hits 2200 rpm for about 3-4 seconds, continues to 2700 rpm, shifts, rpm's drop to 2000 and struggles again at 2200 rpm's and to add to this, my economy is now 8 miles per gallon. When I want to pass on the higway, it gears down but has no power and no rpm's. Dealer can't find anything wrong, no codes so problems they say. I now have a truck that pulls like a ford ranger and has the fuel economy of ford raptor. I work with this truck everyday, pulling 6000 pds trailers on highway and city. Some of you might think that it's because I am babying the truck, but think again, like some say here I ride it like I stole it. Any help would be very appreciated. If I refer to all my 2 stroke carburated toys, it's like the fuel mixture is wayyyyyyyy to rich and the engine is just drowning in fuel.

Sounds like your dpf might be getting clogged. Is it stock? If so, take it to the dealer and let them deal with it.

Ya truck is 100% stock with the exeption of 35'' tires. When the DPF gets clogged, doesn't the check engine turn on?

yep delete EGR and DPF...If you live in WA state, you can do it and get away with it (emissions wise) as they recently changed it to where all 2007 and later diesel vehicles are exempt from taking emissions tests, and all diesel vehicles under 6000lbs scale weight are exempt from emissions (as in mercedes, VW, and any other passenger car or light pickup with a diesel is 100% exempt from taking emissions)

Quick update, brought the truck in 2 night ago to the dealer, spoke to the diesel tech there (only diesel specialist working at a dodge dealer in 100 miles) he tried pluging his computer to the truck computer, nothing would work. The truck would not except any commands from the techs computer. Went back home for the night since I had my tool trailer pined in the back plus the dealer tech said he could not do sht until he speeks to a dodge tech at dodge canada. The next morning, while bringing back the truck to the dealer (5th time in 2 weeks) check engine lights comes on, finally the truck is comunicating. The tech calls me later to tell me that the code my truck is displaying is not in the dodge canada code database, go figure. Went back to the dealer to pick up a rental for the night, the tech had taken the EGR and DPF appart and said everyting needed to be replaced. I will no for sure today what is going on next.

Sorry for any bad writing, I'm a frenchy.

The worst in all of this is you spend 80 000$ on a truck, and they can't rent you a freakin truck that can tow. I'm stuck with a caravan with no trailer hitch.

Sorry for the late reply, dealer finally found the issue with truck a few weeks ago. The computer was all F'd up. The tech had to erase all programs, reboot the computer and reprogram. Sounds easy, but apparently the truck had other ideas. It took the tech 4 hours to be able to reboot the computer because the truck would crash the tech's computer everytime he accessed the trucks program. Nobody knows why this happened but the truck runs ok now. Still hard on fuel though avg 10 mpg but I have power now, doesn't feel like a moped anymore lol.
