changing fuel filter 98 24 valve.
I read the sticky for changing fuel filter, but the pictures are gone. It says to use a large crescent wrench or a 1 1/8 socket. There is no place to use anything that large on my filter housing there is a nut on the top of the filter that looks to be about 5/8. Is this the bolt I need to loosen? It would be the bolt in the center of the top.

newer vp44 trucks have a different filter housing as well...like my 2000 for example...stock housing has a big plastic top that the whole top unscrews and it has a large nut/bolt shape in the middle to put a large wrench on to unscrew the cap.
I have that filter bypassed though as I have an airdog system now.

I have that type. You loosen that nut in the center and the bottom section is the canister that drops down. Drain the fuel with the yellow lever and catch below. Make sure that you have the right filter element. It took me two tries to get the right one. If you have your owners manual it should give the MOPAR number that you can cross reference. Fill the canister and filter with clean fuel before you start to put it back on or you will be bleeding forever.
