1997 Ram2500 Diesel - stall problem

Default 1997 Ram2500 Diesel - stall problem

I got on the on-ramp and started to accelerate to approx 55 mph when it felt like I was loosing power so I shirted to neutral and the truck died. So I drained the fuel filter just in case of water. Waited approx 5 min and tried to start it with a little pumping of the gas Pedro got it to start. I went a head and started down the hill as soon as I got back to approx 50 mph it started loosing power so again put it in neutral an dot died. We coasted to next off ramp.

I just had it towed to my house. An thought on what this might be I thought lifter pump?

It's possible. Get a fuel pressure gauge on it and see where you're at. Make sure to check if you close off the return line too.
