Default Fuel pressure

I filled up my tank the other day and the check engine light came on, and my H&S says its code P0191. I still have normal idle pressure of 4-5.8K. It still runs fine with normal power. Any ideas whats causing that code to pop up? Only mods are the H&S with the deletes.

do you have a rail pressure gauge?

if so I would make sure pressure stays within normal ranges...

also do you have an aftermarket fuel system like an airdog or fass?

If not you might want to invest in one because you may be pulling fuel a lot faster than your lift pump can keep up with and that will cause your cp3 to drop rail pressure...

I don't have a rail pressure gauge or any aftermarket fuel system. I wouldn't think I would be having issues with the lift pump keeping up because I'm not going over 500 hp I would be pushing it with the H&S on wild that adds 140hp though.

haha trust me...stock lift pumps can't keep up with jack...

our old 235hp 24v's can suck a stock lift pump down to 0psi with just a 65hp flash tune or mild fueling box...

it really does not take much to suck a stock lift pump dry.

not to mention your common rail injectors are very sensitive and the factory fuel filter is not enough to stop particles from making it to the injectors and damaging them...

a good aftermarket fuel system will also have its own filter system that filters down to 2 microns.

just some food for thought..

What aftermarket fuel system would you recommend?

fass or airdog rated at 150GPH or higher with the dual filters....

1 filter is a pre-filter/water separator
the other is a 2 micron fuel filter.
