Default Help locating an alternator part

I am working on my 2001 Ram 2500 Cummins all of a sudden stopped charging. Quick check found the alternator wasn't giving me any output, but was grounded fine.

I pulled it out, tore it apart and I can't find anything wrong with it, though I'm suspect of the brush assembly which isn't always giving me the same results when I test it. I can't find anywhere that supplies it. Most just want to sell me the alternator itself.

It fits on the back and is the part that houses the brushes, a 2 wire plug, and main connection. (let me know if further description would help, I figure if a person didn't know what it was already, wouldn't necessarily know where to find it)

Is there a transistor in there? And if anyone happens to know the part number of it, that would solve my problem well enough
