Default 6.7l diesel bucks at slight acceleratio

im new to this sight but after reading a post that helped me fix my wifes idle problem on her durago im hooked!! SOO, i was hoping for some help with an issue with my 2010 6.7l diesel. I live on the mountain above town and on a certain stretch of road the grade is just grdual enough that I must give slight pressure to maintain 35mph, the truck goes into a "herky-jerky". Is this a fuel sensor problem, are my injectors dirty, or is the tranny "losing" itself? I have a sad story about an 05 Ford 6.0l and an EGR blowing up causing irreparable damage! Starting to hate all Diesels!!!!

more likely it is all of the emissions junk on there causing the problems...

It's entirely possible that the EGR is clogging up, or the VGT is gummed up.

At 35 mph going up that hill, what gear are you in? What RPM? IIRC my 08 was wanting to get into 5th gear by about 35, and 6th by about 45, and it wouldn't down shift until it lugged below about 900 rpm.

Try keeping it in 4th if that's the case.
