Default the 2500HD should be revised to a very light duty truck

got a 2012 2500hd 6.7 cummins, truck has 36 000 km and dealer has rebuild the complete front end twice now and it's going back to the shop next week for new tie rod ends and ball joints... again. Anyone else having problems with front ends??? Had a 2004 1500 for 5 years and never touched the front end once. This is absurd Oh and to add to the list of things changed on the truck

EGR valve
DPF, actually the complete exhaust (8 000$) of parts
3 shocks
sensors, sensors, sensors...
4 power steering pump
3 booster pump

can't remember the rest but there is allot more.

I sumed up the amount of all repairs with service guy, to date chrysler has spent more then 43 000$ of parts and labour on my truck and they still don't want want to consider my truck a lemon.

Am shopping for a GM or ford now.

sounds like you got a lemon...DPF and EGR crap is to be expected if you baby the truck without using a delete programmer and ditching that junk...

steering problems are normal for dodge...I've replaced my entire front steering assembly other than the column and steering shaft...everything else has been replaced at least once.

I converted to 4th gen steering and 3rd gen style track bar...

replaced power steering hoses recently...both high pressure lines for the hydroboost had pinholes burst in them and leak everywhere.

chevy front suspension isn't any better...their tie rods will literally break.

ford just has junk motors...

yaaaa... I don't really baby my truck engine wise, from the beginning I was told that the 6.7 hates sunday driving so I make sure it's used properly. I have a 10 000 pounds tool loaded trailer that is practically welded on the truck and a 14' X 6' dump trailer when the tool trailer is not used, so no sunday driving for this big 6.7

delete the DPF and EGR and the 6.7 oughta be a good motor...doesn't solve your front end issues though

my truck is just an overpowered grocery getter

Yup. My 08 had an 1800 pound payload. Pretty pathetic... won't buy a 3/4 ton truck again. Hell, not planning on buying any trucks again for the long term, the 12 valve is going to get made into what I want and hopefully my son will be driving it in another 14 years.

dodge solid axles suck, the minor revisions on flawed design carried on from the 3rd Gen 2500 trucks are non substantial.

non serviceable components supplied on the cheap carry you threw your towing, off road and work use.

thanks dodge for supplying aftermarket part's company's with jobs.
