Default Parked

Got my first diesel back in march so I'm new and also in the navy and back on sea duty so this will be the first time I'm parking it for a bit. Only 18 days this time but was just wondering if there is anything I can do to ensure an easy start upon return. It's a 2006 mega cab 2500 4x4. In Dan Diego so don't have to worry about freezing or overly hot weather here. Thank you guys for inputs. Had heard some stuff about the fuel gelling up and all that.

Don't worry about it. You'll have zero issues starting it, 18 days or 18 months later, doesn't matter.

Cool. Not completely dumb just heard stuff about diesel fuel breaking down faster then gas does and the navy does not pay well enough not to try and take care of a very expensive investment like this truck. Like I said I'm new to diesel and I read things. Some say good some say problems

that's a myth. only thing you need to worry about is the batteries.

maybe put a battery maintainer on them or unhook the cables.

18 days probably wont kill them unless you have aftermarket amps in there, but 18 months sure will...

I left my truck parked for a year and 1/2. guess what...she fired right up after I put new batteries in her.

No amps yet. Lots of space for it though. Should have kept my stuff when I traded in my silverado
