Power Up!
Drew's cocktail werks. Been using it for a month now. Have noticed about a 5 mpg increase (on paper) while running in town. As for more power well,,,, you can get alot of different mods out there for it. I don't have any so I won't post any coments. I have heard getting a AFE Stage 2 intake helps, also taking off the muffler, and getting a cat back system. It should make it breath better which always = more power, and more fuel efficiency. Now if you are going to keep this truck for the rest of your natural life, then you need to ask yourself what you will be doing with this truck for its time you have it. Some use bully dog, or edge mods to boost performance, but anytime you do that you wanna make sure you have the $$$ incase you break somthing else as a result of you playing with it. I.E. you put undue stress on other parts that are not upgraded to with the new performance you have,, (Clutch, Rear end, Drivline, etc,,). So I would not get to carried away unless you are willing to dump your warranty (if you have one), and dump some $$ on aftermarket beefy parts to handle the performance the engine is putting out. Its no big secret if you play your gonna pay, we have the toughest trucks on the road, but even the toughest breakdown.
So for now I would start with making the truck breath a little better, and then the rest is up to you!

Doc said it as good as anyone can. you wanna play you gotta pay.
if you are after keeping the trtuck as stock as possable then yanking off the muffler, removing the innerds out of the cat, re doing the intake, then adding this Adjustable Timeing Sensor (scroll to bottom of page) will still keep things stock.
the cam sensor has been modified to add 2 degrees of timeing which adds low end power, and gives better fuel mileage. some have even reported the A/C works better after adding this modified sensor. the best part is it is a Cummins part and even mechanics cannot tell the differencee between the stock part and this one, and it does not leave a footprint in the computer since it is a stock part. Now, if you decide to add a box with this sensor, it will work with many boxes, but I personaly would remove it since adding too much timeing is a bad thing
