Hi guys, i'm new here, so my problem may or may not be covered yet.
On Thursday I drove my truck to work, it ran fine, no problems at all. went to drive home, turned the key and I got a click. Now I know the starter is gone, I have a rebuild kit on its way for the starter. My problem is when I tried to pull start it, it seemed as though the engine free wheeled. I can see one thing going at a time, but not the starter and the fuel shut off at the same time
Any idea's?

Have someone turn the key and watch the shut off solenoid - does it move?
The lever should be UP when you turn the key to CRANK. When you release it to RUN, it should stay up. When you turn the key OFF, the lever should extend DOWN. It's only when you engage CRANK that the shut down solenoid opens the fuel supply.
On the cowl by the brake booster there are two relays. The Passenger side one is the fuel heater relay, and the driver side one is the fuel shut down solenoid relay. You may be able to swap the two to test the relay.
