Talk me out of pulling the triger on a 2015 Factery order...2500 CTD...
I know CTD 6.7 have, will or have issues with EGR, Urea freezing in winter, choked cats..
I'm willing to forgive the sins dodge bestowed upon me, and move forward.
I will learn to do all my servicing!!!! and the new rig will be a weekend warrior.
Now, I want to run 17 rims and tires, ( my after market set is brand new ) not the 18 inch fire stone ****, I don't care for adding tire pressure sensors to my extra set of rims.
On a 342 rear diff, running a 17 inch lt 265 70 17, I doubt its going to make a difference.. This truck is going to tow the same stuff my 373 Hemi 6sp towed..
6sp manual no automatics, I don't need a hard core Ram, so the lesser hp and torque is fine with me.
Loaded up SLT crew cab 4x4 cant afford to go higher in trim.
Now aside from the $$$$ and giving up on the body of my 06, shoot some hard core issues I could be facing...
I will add a s bar heater to heat the engine in winter ( cant all ways plug in )
(Canada) 65 grand, Chrysler web site...With my 06 on trade, factory rebates, ect, and my buggy looks, I can afford to finance 40 grand....
Due to my dislike of automatics, Dodge is my only option, I don't want to back to a 5.9 CTD in a bad bad designed solid axle front end..
Thanks for all the info I can get !!!

what's wrong with a 5.9L CTD?
great engines.
2014+ has the new air suspension but they are still solid axles..
I personally wouldn't want to deal with all of that emissions garbage for which there are no deletes for...
Anyway: that's my two cents.
I agree with you on not wanting an automatic. I have a 6-spd manual myself, though I will say I am impressed that dodge finally put a decent automatic in their trucks with those new aisin auto's. They can actually hold up to some power without grenading.

Ww front suspension looks ronger than 3rd generation. .I rebuilt my solid axle. .so finding a 5 9 with the same set up needing a rebuild is not worth the hit for future repairs and the up sell for a ctd.
Fords 6.7 is dam fine..but its saddled with a automatic and interior by rubber maid...
Im reading up on maitance from Cummins, and dodge...need to find out if Cummins performs maitance, Oil changes, Fuel filters, WIll Chrysler honor that..
HD Cummins garage is closer than dodge dealer...

like steering and such?
I have 4th gen steering on my late 2nd gen
Full T-steering assembly, 3rd gen style adjustable HD trackbar, steering gear brace, carli low mount bilstein 7100 stabilizer, replaced both front hub assemblies, and one of the front u-joints.
Definitely know where you are coming from, but 08.5-2013 should all have the 4th gen HD steering and such. 08.5-2012 also has no DEF system added to the emissions components and you can get deletes for them as well as performance programmers if desired. trucks equipped with DEF systems have *******ly no aftermarket support. don't even think there is a single programmer out there for them. Definitely haven't seen any deletes or sims for them.

HD Cummins service center is verry close to home...Dodge dealer is not.
Chrysler has thier own programing on the 6. 7, ; Cummins will not warenty, ; perform maintenance, or othier wise look at Chrysler bought Cummins while under chryslers warrenty.
Im woundering how much up Chrysler inflates the 6. 7 when Cummins sells them and says c ya to consumers who buy thier engines in dodge fenders.
I would have thought Cummins could replace filters and basic maintenance.on thier own engines.
