Default Accessory Key Position Not Working

Hi,

2003 Dodge 2500 Cummins - Ignition switch was replaced today to try and correct the following problem, it did not work. When I turn the truck off and roll the ket to the accessory position my radio will not work, unless I push and hold the key in. Any ideas?

Bob

Where was this posted originally, the muscle car section? It's a 3rd gen body/chassis problem, the Cummins is totally inconsequential and he might get more views in the general 3rd gen area.

Having said that, was the electrical switch replaced or the mechanical key lock cylinder?

It sounds like the mechanical portion might be suffering from wear
