wow is it that much? I heard it was around $600 .. I wouldn't do it anyway, probaly void warrenty and that b/s.. fuel is still 3.29 here and that is with ethnol added. the local t.v channels did stories on the new addition of corn in fuel this was about two months ago. the fuel price actully went up but they said it would go down after the ethnol was added. and nope not yet. they the newspaper said 2 days ago that fuel is so high becouse of the demand for home heating oil.. i was just wondering if they are putting ethnol in that also and if not. that shouldn't effect diesel. I just think I'm getting robbed in wi

I have a friend in the light construction business out here in Wyoming. One day he ran out of fuel in his pickup and all he had on the site was off-road diesel (non-taxed), so he filled up just enough to make it to town. Got to town and filled up on clear diesel and got dipped after the fact. His fine was about $6K plus a $/gal that he had in storage capacity for off-road diesel. Total fine was over $10k. Bad part is the dye is so strong, he had to run about 8 tanks of clean fuel through to get rid of the color. The dyed diesel won't hurt the engine in anyway. Moral of the story, don't risk skipping out of the tax, it cost way too much if you get caught.
