Default RE: oil change question

New tp this forum...
I owned a 91 Ram W250 CTD for 15+ yrs... finally sold it and got an '05 2500, 4x4, auto, quad, CTD.
Reading about what oil & filters are being used on the new versions. When my '91 was almost new I received a letter from Dodge advising that use of WIX filters on the Cummins engine could void the engine manufacture's warranty. Are there still issues with Wix filters? I paid the $$$ for Mopar filters for my '91. It that is what it takes, small inconvience for the security...
TIA!

a fleetguard stratopore filter is better than the standard Mopar filter, besides, the stock mopar filter is just a rebadged fleetguard standard filter.

go to Geno's Garage adn you can get the filter for less than going to Cummins.

oh, BTW, Fleetguard is owned by Cummins
