Default EGR Delete Problem

Just finished deleting the EGR cooler on a 2008 Ram 2500 with 6.7 Cummins. Engine light came on as expected. What wasn't expected was the electronic throttle control light coming on. It only comes on occasionally. When it is on, the engine will lose power for a few seconds then regains power. When ETC light is OFF, truck runs great. I've cleaned battery cables to make sure that is not the issue. Have not run tuner on it yet, but from what I have read, the engine light should have been the only issue. Trying to determine if it truly is an ETC problem or if this is the result of the EGR cooler delete. Anybody have some experience with this issue?
