Default Injector knock ?

I just noticed recently that when hot, I get a metalic tapping at idle, , and when driving slowly in traffic,(sounds like a lifter) which goes away when accelerating..........could this be the dreaded injector knock ?
The vehicle is an 03 with 44000 miles, is there any way to tell for sure, and what do I do to correct it ?
I already use PS and MMO in every tank

I hear mine clanking on occasion when I start up. unless your noticeing a decrease in fuel mileage and performance. or excessive smoke then things are ok.

but you can take it to the stealership and that can do an injector isolation test and shut off and injector one at a time to find out which one is making noise. but I would look at it as being the engine is just wanting to go

Thanks for the info..........I had read somewhere that it could be the injectors carboning up, but if it's not anything to worry about I'll just keep on driving it hard !!!

one thing I like to do on occasion is run the RPM's to about 3K in 5th up a steep hill so I can keep the boost pegged at 30+. I usualy leave a nice BCOD but I just say I'm cleaning out my muffler[8D]

BCOD = black cloud of death
