Unhappy trouble after N62 front end recall

I have 111000 km and never had an issue with Death Wobble until after this recall for the left tie rod end was done. Had one instance of full blown wobble, went to dealer who said alignment was off (their fault). Still had right drift in steering after alignment was corrected and double checked several times. Also front end shake for 2-5 seconds after hitting bumps at 100 kph. They admit something is wrong but have yet to find out what. Could the alignment still be out of whack ? I'm beginning to wonder if their machine is out. Any thoughts? By the way , I've attached a picture showing one of the adjustment bolts that I discovered was bent after the recall. They replaced the bolt and turned the collar around to prevent interference of the bolt again.

woodmaster!,

I'm sorry to hear about your recent concern. I would recommend staying in contact with your servicing Ram dealer. Having experienced the issue, they will be able to utilize the resources available to pinpoint the root cause. Be sure to speak with the Service Manager for further details from the dealer.

Got the truck back after a week. They replaced the tie rod end at pitman arm. I have driven about 800 km now without any more wobble. Hope this lasts! Still have a bit of right pull but could be road crown.

Problem with the dreaded DW, is there is no single cause, it can be one of many things, or a combination of them.

Generally, it's the trac-bar bushings wearing out, but not always.

My dad had the tie rod recall done on his '09 2500 last summer, and right after started having steering problems. No DW, but a lot of pull and wandering.

Turned out it had a frozen ball joint (upper pas side) and a worn out ball joint (upper driver) as well as a frozen axle shaft U-joint.

All that with only 52K miles on the truck.

If it comes back, check everything that moves on the front end, including the control arm bushings.
