2012 6.7 smoke under hood

2012 6.7 smoke under hood
Hi,
On occasion when stopped at a stop light, there is smoke billowing from under the hood on the passenger side. When i start driving it stops and only happens occasionally. The last time it was excessive and actually was filling the cab with smoke. It smells like exhaust.
Any ideas?
Update:
I think I found the problem, there was a loose clamp on the exhaust just after the turbo. There was soot on the pipe just after the connection, I tightened it up and hopefully that was it. Fingers crossed.
