Default odb error code p0191

I was driving to work the first day back from a 2 week vacation where my 05 ram 2500 CTD sat the whole time. I noticed that the CEL came on part way there. I read the code and came up with p0191 fuel rail pressure sensor performance error code. is there any particular reason that this would have come up. have had the truck since august with no trouble whatso ever now this. Is it serious? can it be fixed without a trip to the stealership. it is still under warrenty so no real prob there, I just don't want themto say that it isn't covered under warrenty. Any help would be appreciated

as long as you have not had any performance boxes on the truck your ok, take it in and have them take a look at the little bugger since it can cause poor performance and low fuel mileage

I had that code too. I`ve heard that it comes up sometimes and not even chrysler knows why. I did call my dealer however, they had no clue and agreed with the idea of clearing it. I have a scanner, so I just cleared it. It came on at about 1500 miles, now I have 10000 and no problems. Got me?

Iv had the same problem happen twice on my 05.
Been back to the stealer twice with it. From what they informed me, they are aware of the prob and DC is working on a fixit but so far there is none.
Everything checked out ok.
The first time they replaced the sensor.
They said if it happens to come in and they will clear it.
More of a pain than anything else.
Im glad to hear Im not the only one this happens to.
