Occasionally I get a red trailer light with a "hash" mark thru it illuminated on my instrument cluster. I've searched my manual but cannot find this "icon" listed anywhere. Anyone got any ideas as to what it means?

Trailer brake see's a problem. Usually not a good connection. Make sure the 7 way plug is all the way in. It will also pick up trailer lights not working.
