Default rims & tires

I have a 2016 2500 Dodge Ram Cummins and want to increase the size and width of both tires and rims without installing a lift to increase under carriage clearance by a couple inches. So what is the maximum size that will not cause any other problems and give me those inches?

I have a 12 with 305/70/17 on stock rims. They rub the drag link at full lock. Your Speedo will be off about 5 mph.
