I am thinking of getting old diesel Ram with 5.9. It's a 2004 even though I am a Ford person. I will not buy Ford diesel like 6.0 and 6.4 or even the new one. There is no room to work on it and they often have to lift the cab to do some minor work.

I was wondering if there is ever a need to lift the cab to work on straight six Cummins engine? I prefer to do my own work and it's not possible for me to lift the cab in my garage.
