Default Fuel pump and codes

Looking for info on a 2001 dodge. I have code P0230(Fuel pump primary circuit malfunction) Truck will not start, followed by Code P1688(Internal fuel injection pump controller failure) when I tried to restart. I`m hoping its just the lift pump, so I picked up a fass pump $375.00. I hope its not the injection pump also $1500.00+ What do you guys think?

Well first code is gone when I installed the fass pump, but the P1688 code still comes up even without cranking. Guessing I need a injector pump. They are expensive.
