My dodge ram 3500 turbo diesel. Anytime I kick on the air conditioning or the heater, the engine seems to jerk and keeps doing it until I turn them off. any ideas ?

Compressor is kicking on and off. Normal.

 

There's no way that that little air compressor is choking out my engine the way it is ? I know I don't always pay attention to my voice text 😂

 

Haha....is it while at speed? While idling? How many miles? Did this just start?

 

It'll do it while the heaters on while it's running and I'll do it when the truck is just sitting in neutral I've got about 345,000 miles on it so far. It did it one other time last year in Portland when I kicked on the heater
