thry are easy to turn up
i got a 98 5spd 1 ton dully with a fuel tank and 35 and i can smoke the tires off in third without droping the clutch
we pluged off wast gate got the biggest fuel plat u can get and cranked the screw all the way out and just put six inch exhust it rools so much smoke out it is redicklus and runs about 50 -60 lbs of boost out of the stock turbo and i hall a 18,000# traler

the cap is to the fuel plate and the screw that makes it smoke is twards the front of the pump u have to take a alen head screw out then use a screw driver

we put the biggest fuel plate u can get in my truck and it dident help so we turned the star wheel allt the way twarde the front of the engine and u cant hardley see head lights behind u i have put about 8000 miles on it and it still runs perfect

But pre 94 have no fuel plate. Where is this "smoke screw" on these trucks.is it a big Deal to get at it?

Yeah you guys need to realize that a 93 is a first gen and has a VE pump, not a P7100 pump or VP44.

I'm not all that familiar with performance mods on the VE, but I understand they have a pin instead of a plate.

Go hit google and search for VE pump mods.
