Default Valve springs and mods 12 valve

Hey folks new to the diesel sector but about to buy a 92 350 while looking at some upgrades that were common (3600 spring) the site said something about #60 valve springs an internet search revealed multiple different spring weights couple questions
1: what advantage /disadvantage comes with heavier springs
2: are they considered a critical upgrade
3: does changing the spring affect the drivability/workability of that motor
thanks in advamce

The 2 reasons for stiffer valve springs are to safely turn more than 3200 rpm or to use an exhaust brake. They don't effect drivabily at all, and a VE injected Cummins runs out of fuel before 3200 RPM so no need to turn higher rpms unless you P-pump it and have the mods to turn 4K rpm.
