Default Diesel as daily driver?

Looking for a dirtbike hauler/daily driver in a 4wd crew cab configuration. I don't plan on doing any towing at this time. At first I thought I should probably get a Toyota Tacoma, but then I stopped by the Dodge dealer and started to think a little bit. Maybe I could have a roomy full size truck with the fuel mileage of a mid size truck. What kind of mileage are 06 owners actually getting? Is a 2500 CTD really practical for daily driving?

many people do.

just make sure you get the 3.73 axels. the 4.10's cut in fuel mileage by about 3mpg.

oh, and after the engine gets broken in you can expect to see around 20. and the break in procedure goes something like this. . .drive it like you stole it, and if you have something in tow drive it harder
