Truck been sitting about 2 months since last start.. prior to that truck been sitting since around April was started every so often.. Last time driving was to shop to have transmission case replaced due to crack and drove truck home, when return home found I had transmission line leaking and just parked truck.. truck ran good going to and from shop about 60 miles round trip.. now 2 months from last drove went out to start to take back to shop to replace broken line it cranks but won’t start.. Same fuel been in all this time.. Drained fule from filter looks and smells good.. can get it to run on the dreaded either but won’t stay running… what else should I look into to make sure it’s getting fuel?
What codes does it have? fortunately running a diesel on ether means nothing more then you have ok compression and it turns over. When you turn the key on do you here the fuel pump prime up? I think the key trick still works on 09 to pull codes. Turn key on and off 3 times stopping in the the run position it should flash P codes from the odometer if you don't have a scanner
do not crack the fuel injector lines, fuel should be just fine quality wise, you could crack the banjo fitting on the rail return or the banjo fitting on the cp3 pump to see if you have excessive return fuel or getting fuel at all. I cant remember on these if you unplug the fca if it runs full rail pressure or 0
