Default DTC P2127 and associated Gremlin

Gentlepersons,

My 04 Ramski Diesel is acting up. I've known about the problem with the APPS sensor since before summer but it went away.

This morning was the first day of the new winter-ish season and the temps here in Hawthorne, NV dipped into the mid-20's. As I was driving to work, I started hearing the electronic DINGER and would look down at the dash. As I looked, the lights went out. Then another DING, and a totally separate light would pop on, then off before I could really see what it was. The gremlin was seriously messing with my mind. The ABS, CEL, BRAKE, and a few other still unknown lights would randomly pop on with the associated DING and would go out before I could really see what it was.

This evening, the engine finally set a DTC code that came back to P2127. My old APPS gremlin has resurfaced.

Now, I've read that the wiring harness from the APPS to the ECM is probably causing the problem. Ok. I tried to look up the maker of the harness repair (http://www.dodgecumminsapps.com/03-0...tery-APPS.html) but he's out of a certain part. He could make a replacement, but I don't have a 2nd vehicle here so I'm stuck doing repairs that can only be done in a single day.

I guess what I'm asking is if I'm barking up the right tree? I'm hoping I don't have to buy a new APPS sensor since I don't have any way to program bupkis on my hooptie. Anyone have suggestions? Does anyone else make these harnesses?

Thanks in advance and let me know your thoughts and inklings.
