Default 98.5 2500 Lift Pump

I'm just hunting for information. I just bought a 98.5 4x4 2500 CTD automatic. Among other things that need some repair of course the lift pump is bad. Is the lift pump mounted on the engine? Will the Dodge replacement be the same, or have they started putting the tank ones in now? Any suggestions on the best cure to add to this beast, Stanadyne pusher pump/filter, or just go for the FASS?

the LP is located on the back side of the fuel filter canister. you can get an adapter plate so if you put on an aftermarket pump you wont have to push though the LP.

your best bet is going to be going with either a FASS, Holly Blue, or some other pumps that are out there. I am currently researching this subject and so far these seem to be the best two, however I am still looking at some others.
