Default CCV System

I've been reading up on the CCV system — I wasn’t familiar with how it works or what it does until recently. I’ve seen videos and posts about potential problems with the factory plastic components in the CCV system failing.
Has anyone actually had issues with this? I also came across discussions about an l5p ccv reroute kit and other aftermarket aluminum components that are supposed to offer better longevity and performance. Any thoughts on going that route, and if you’ve swapped to a specific brand, how it worked out for you?
Thanks!

What truck are you dealing with? All it does is separate oil from crankcase gases, there really isn't much to be concerned about besides late model trucks dumping the gases pre turbo and running that gum through you charge air system
