Default Differential Oil Change

A couple of newbie questions here: (99 Ram 2500 Cummins automatic) what is the capacity for the front and rear differentials and the transfer case. Also, is friction inhibiter needed in both? I'm pretty sure the rear diff is Posi.
Any tips on changing oil, Iv'e seen hand pumps to empty and fill rears with, so as not to have to disturb the cover and gaskets. Any recommendations/advice, or where to buy?
Obviously, use straight synthetic gear oil.
And, what are recommended change intervals?
Thanks.............

TO : DIFF GEAR LUBE CHANGE: AS YOU SAID SYNTHETIC IS THE WAY TO GO, IF YOU USE AMS/OIL 75W90 GEAR LUBE IT HAS THE FRICTION INHIBITERS BUILT INTO IT, IT ALSO FLOWES AT - 45 F, THAT MIGHT NOT BE IMPORTANT WHERE YOU ARE BUT HERE IN NOVA SCOTIA WINTERS IT IS VERY IMPORTMENT. YOUR CHANGE INTERVAL IS 100,000. MILES. IF YOU HAVE A HILL WITH A LONG FLAT RUN WHERE YOU WON'T GET RUN OVER WITH TRAFFIC, SET YOUR TRUCK IN NEUTRAL AT AN EXCACT SPOT AND LET IT COAST TO A COMPLETE STOP AND MARK THE SPOT PRIOR TO CHANGING TO THE AMS/OIL GEAR LUBE AND THEN GO BACK AGAIN AFTER YOU HAVE CHANGED IT AND SEE HOW MUCH FARTHER IT WILL RUN!! YOU WON'T BELEAVE THE DIFFERENCE.

I'm having trouble finding Amsoil products here in Joisey. I see Castrol & Lucas gear oil everywhere, but no Amsoil. Any ideas? Also, how much a quart is average for Amsoil 75-90? I'm seeing synthetics here for about 12.50 a quart.

I will sell it to you at my cost plus shipping if you like.

Amsoil Long Life 75W-90
$6.20/quart

If you have a Cummins Diesel and do any towing I strongly recommend 75W140 in the rear end.

Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-140
$9.70/quart... retails for $12.55

Prices are going up slightly 2-1-06.
