Default weather stripping

anybody else out there with a 3rd generation 2500-3500 have a problem with the driver side door rubbing the weather stripping on the pillar when you open/close the door? i heard this is an issue with a lot of the newer rams and was wondering if anyone has a clever way of avoiding this.

TSB 23-008-04 is the only way to avoid this.

I had mine done a few weeks back and they are MUCH better than the stock piece. where the door makes contact and rubs the weatherstripping it is flattened out so it will not get torn.

thanks Drew,
does that mean that i should get the piece and then get reimbursed by my dealer under the provisions of the warranty or should i just go to the dealer first?

go to the dealer and have them fix it for you for free. if they give you the WTF look just take the TSB number with you then they will understand.

I was in and out in less than 30 min. first time my truck saw the dealer since I pulled of the lot

heck, they even mentioned to me that it had been 26,000 miles since my last oil change and I might also need to get the fuel filter changed as well what bone heads

yes, mine does this as well.. I mostly notice it when it is wet and it makes a very annoying noise. I will check with my dealer at my 7500 mile service and see if they can fix this.
