I'm just posting to vent a little frustration [:@]...After much debate I caved in and allowed my wife to get an H3 a few months back. "That little 5-cyl motor won't last a year!"....OMG was I right! 4,000 miles on it and just found out it has a major valve problem causing one of the cylinders to misfire!....and a compression leak! Turns out this is a MAJOR problem with H3's and is VERY common. No "solution" in sight...only temporary fixes. The dealer said "well, the good news is that they will keep fixing it since it is under warranty".....I told him he could just "keep the damn thing...I hate GM trucks!....no wonder they're bankrupt!" [:'(] He laughed......but he didn't know how serious I was.

....anyway, the conclusion to this story is I went into my garage and looked at my 04.5 Cummins.....and that made my day a lot better.

if your wife wanted to keep that POS H3, the best thing to do would be to re-power it with a 3.9L I4 cummins

 

I wouldn't trade my Dodge CTD for 6 of any model GM has on the lot. They're junk after 6 months. My sister gets a new Suburban every 2 years & it rides like a 15 year old vehicle within 6 months.

 

Gm doesn't rate to have a CUMMINS in it.
My wife likes those H3s'. Thanks, I think you just helped me win the fight of not getting one!!
