Ive heard magnaflow and MBPR(hope I got that right) are good mufflers. I'm still running stock BTW, I want to pull mine off but the better half tells me the turbo is loud enough[&:]

theres nothing like the sound of a Cummins under a load straight piped

I ran a Walker "Bullet" on the 99...basically a straight through glass pack...truck sounded awesome...you can get these from Summit Racing for about $40...and they make up to a 5".

I'm running a Summit Racing SS turbo back exhaust on the 04.5...by retaining the stock downpipe, I was able to eliminate the cat back...full straight through exhaust.

that's where the stereo comes into play... turn it up loud enough for her not to hear the exhaust [sm=icon_rock.gif]

she doesnt ride in my little yoda much anymore since I've been playing with the engine. I put on a LC engeneering header and full exhaust. sounds good and opened it up nicely on the top end, be she says it's WAY too loud

I went with the MBRP cat back system from Diesel Performance Parts. This is the second vehicle I have used there product one and it is perfect. No worries or complaints. The 06 Cummins already has the 4 inch exhaust so going with a cat-back system will save you time and money by eliminating the need for a new downpipe. Hangers already welded in place. It can't be easier and has one of the best warranties out there. The sound is very good as well. Loud when you want it to be and civil when coming home through your neighborhood at night.

You guys want to hear turbo??? You should ride in my '95 Freightliner, 455hp Caterpiller pulling 85,000lbs up a hill! Then you'll hear a sweet turbo.

As far as exhaust. If I bought a Cat-back system would I have to leave the cat on or could I take it off and still have the system fit? I'm thinking of going to a 5" personally in which case I'd probably go Turbo-back.
