Default Change out front sway bay???

Does anyone know if it possible to (or has anyone) change out the Stock front sway bar on a CTD 4 x 4 to the one that is on the Power Wagon?
I haven't looked at mine yet (2005 Quad cab 4x4). I think it would be helpful to have the electrically 'disconnect' capabilty in some of the back woods where I take my truck.
OR Does anyone offer an after market disconnect (manual or ...)?

TIA!!!

nice truck!

what do you mean electrically disconnect the sway bar? There are some quick disconnects that are out there (researched a LONG time ago) that you could upgrade the end links with.

do you have a link to where they talk about it?

I've been thinking the same thing, I haven't done it yet because I haven't found parts outside of a dealership (I'm too poor to pay those prices). From what I've seen, there aren't any clearance issues or fitment problems(even though the diesel rear end is the larger, heavy duty unit, I think the mounting points are ok). If you do the swap, please take some photos and document the install for all of us here.

Steve,
The electronic disconnect is a feature on the Power Wagon. I saw it on SpeedTV during an off road test of the Power Wagon; last year sometime...

I agree that the factory parts are EXPENSIVE! I think I will start checking salvage yards...

Don,
If you find two ( two power wagons in one salvage yard), let me know.

Steve,
I don't know how technical the thread is, but it has some info on the sway bar. I'm pretty sure its a magnetising system. I like the automatic reconnect over 18mph.
