Default Fuel Additives

I'm wondering if anyone has used this product called Enviromax Plus. It's a fuel catalist that is suppose to improve fuel economy among other things. If anyone has had any experiences with this product please let me know what your opinions are. Thanks!

I have never heard of it, however Drew has recommended a mix of Power Service diesel aditive and MMO in a 3:1 ratio which gives better milage for sure. I just finished my 1st tank with the mix and neted about 1.5 mpg out of it. I am running the current tank w/o the mix to verify the milage increase. 1 think I can say for sure is the motor was real happy, ran way smoother than w/o the mix. Could have been that I had crappy fuel but I dont know.

If my overhead comp tells me i'm 2 mpg down again, i'm gonna re-fill and add the mix. It pays for itself quickly.

Not only does it increase mileage, the PS and MMO also lubricates the fuel system (important with the low sulfur diesel we have now) and it seems to help remove water in the fuel. I haven't drained any water out of the system since I started using the additives, even though I try once a month or so.

On the fuel door side of my truck in my bed tool box is an assortment of additives (2 grey PS bottles, 1 white PS bottle, 1 large MMO bottle, 1 Red Line Diesel Catalyst bottle, etc...) and a funnel.

I use 16 oz of the PSD and 8 of the MMO, I think however it should be 24 & 8.

I have tried with, then without then with and each time with mpg jumps 1.5. it is pretty consistent.

Another thing to mention, I just added an AFE Stage 2 CAI to my truck and mpg jumped agaiin by another 1~1.5 mpg. I only have about 300 miles on it but according to the overhead, it's up by 2.2 on the hiway. 1.5 combined city/hiway.

I have done different mixxes on PS and MMO and my best mix was the 16oz of PS and 8 OZ of MMO. anything more realy didnt increase the mileage that much. these addatives for lubrication are especialy necessary for the 2nd gen guys running the VP44 pump sincee it lubricates itself frrom the diesel fuel. the lower sulfur/lubricative diesel we have now will eat the pump up in no time.

I have not heard of enviromax plus personaly. but I will mention another fuel addative that if you cannot find power service try Howes, it has pretty much the same characteristics as Power Service.

16 and 8 for me. I run the PS for injector cleaning and MMO for fuel system lube. 24 total ounces in a 5000 ounce fill up isn't much of a concentration! So, it would take ALOT more to make a difference!!

Is all this necessary for a "new rig". Or is this something that needs to be done when you are 20000+?
