Default Tire size

I saw a 4x4 long bed extracab today with 315/70/17's bfg allterians on it they looked really good. The truck did not look lifted to me and it was on the stock wheels. Is anybody running this combo? I was thinking about 285's but the 315's looked sweet. I don't think they are big enough to hurt fuel milage very much if at all.
